Dr. Gould has documented his 60+ years of active and dedicated work in the food industry, as well as his early years of growing up on a farm in New Hampshire. This autobiography covers the deep and earnest dedication that Dr. Gould has for life, the food industry, his years at Ohio State University as well as his time spent managing the affairs of the Ohio Food Processors Association (now known as Mid-America Food Processors Association) as Executive Director.
Dr. Gould has spent over 60 years in the food industry, educating, promoting, sponsoring, prodding, caring, and catering to those who develop and process food products in the U.S. and abroad. His unwavering focus on the fruit and vegetable industry, and his steadfast loyalty to the snack food sector has earned him industry respect from all quarters.
His passion for the highest levels of quality and product integrity and endless research and product improvement have proven to be some of his strongest attributes, and have advanced the knowledge level and product quality for all processors in the food industry. Quality control, quality assurance and making the food industry better have been his life long motto.
Dr. Gould is also a strong believer of Paying Forward, a philosophy of laying a foundation for those that will come after him and build on the knowledge that exists today.
Dr. Gould also believed, years before it was popular, that the average plant worker should be educated and possesses a level of knowledge that would enhance the operations of the food plant.
